TikTok is Trying to Convince You That Nothing is Your Fault.

You’re not socially awkward or undisciplined, you’re autistic

You’re not messy or undisciplined, you have ADHD

You’re not fat from chips, you’re fat from stress

You’re not physically lazy, you have hyper-mobility

Nothing is anyone’s fault, and yet people are more anxious than ever. Is it because the lack of agency also equates to lack of control? Or is it because even though you want people to tell you nothing bad is actually your fault, you don’t really believe it so how does that truly help?
